FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (CNN) - A crowd of well-wishers waited anxiously on a South Carolina beach Thursday.
For wildlife officials to arrive with the star attraction: Pluff, a juvenile loggerhead sea turtle who's about to return to his home at sea.
Sixty-five pound Pluff got his name after he was found stuck in pluff mud, also known as saltmarsh, on Hilton Head Island in Georgia.
Wildlife officials say Pluff was very lethargic, thin and covered with barnacles. But after a few months in the Sea Turtle Hospital at the South Carolina Aquarium, he's as good as new and ready to go home.
