BETHEL PARK, Penn. (WTAE/CNN) - A couple in Pennsylvania saw a deer outside their house that will have you looking twice. They took a photo of the deer with a basketball stuck in its antlers, so others could have a laugh too.
Families living on Greenbriar Road in Bethel Park really don't need to visit the zoo. Many of them have a natural wildlife sanctuary in their backyards.
Take Andy and Sue Kovac for example. They've lived in their home for 56 years. They've snapped pictures of wild turkeys. Some baby raccoons. But what the couple saw Wednesday beats them all.
"Looked out the kitchen window and saw something red moving," said Sue.
Is this for real, a ball stuck in the antlers of a young buck?
"I ran downstairs and got my husband," said Sue.
So here comes Andy.
"Unbelievable! Can't understand how he got the ball caught in his antlers," he said.
Suddenly the 85-year-old Andy moved like he was 25 trying to take a picture.
"When I came around and saw what it was, I had to run for the camera," he said.
We don't know how this buck feels about his appearance, a ball stuck in his antlers. Andy figured he'd share the photos so others could get a chuckle.
"I think a lot of people would appreciate and be amused by it," said Andy.
"That was pretty interesting, we're still laughing about it," said Sue.
But we're not sure ole buddy here is laughing about a ball stuck in his antlers. So there's Rudolph the red-nose reindeer and now we have Billy, the ball-headed deer.
