East St. Louis, Ill (KSDK) -- An overturned tanker truck has been cleared and the split to I-64 reopened in East St. Louis around 8:30 a.m.
The accident closed I-64 eastbound near the 10th St. Exit has the split to I-64 closed in East St. Louis around 6 a.m.
East St. Louis Fire Chief Jason Blackmon said the truck was carrying propane from Medora, Illinois. It was believed to be a full load, but it did not leak.
Several tow trucks on the scene helped turn the tanker up right. It is unknown what caused the tanker to flip.
All traffic was forced to go to 55/70 during the closure.
There are no reports of injuries.
