Pinckneyville, Illinois no longer under boil water order

Pinckneyville, IL (KSDK) -- The boil order has been lifted for  Pinckneyville, Illinois, the City's Utility Department said Wednesday.

The boil water order has been lifted for water customers in the following areas:

The entire Pinckneyville Fairground area including all customers located south from the Railroad Track boundary of Front Street, County Road, Fairground Road, including Charlotte Hills. Also, both sides of State Route 13/127 South from the Railroad viaduct including Cripple Creek Road, Unicorn Road, Red Bud Lane, and Cedar Pointe.

The water main was damaged Monday by an outside contractor, leading to necessary repairs and boil water order.
