St. Clair County, Ill (KSDK) -- Sports fans coming from Illinois to downtown St. Louis for St. Louis Cardinals games and the St. Louis Rams game Thursday night are advised to plan ahead because of ongoing MetroLink track work.

MetroLink trains will not operate in Illinois between College and Shiloph-Scott stations from 8 p.m. until the end of service October 1-4 and October 7.

Football and baseball fans who mornally park at the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station are advised to park at the College MetroLink Station or one of the other Metro Park-Ride lots on game nights.

Westbound Red Line passengers from Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station will need to board a shuttle bus to travel to the College MetroLink Station. From there, they can board a train to continue west. They should allow an extra 20-25 minutes for their commutes.

Eastbound Red Line passengers will exit the train at the College MetroLink Station and board a shuttle bus to continue their trip to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station. They may experience 5-10 delays during the bus shuttle operation.

Blue Line service will not be impacted.

Updates on MetroLink operations can be found at www.metrostlouis.org in the Rider Alert section.
