EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - A 19-year-old Pierron, Ill. woman has been indicted on a drug homicide charge.
Elizabeth F. Brown has been charged with one count of drug induced homicide for providing heroin to 18-year-old Charles T. Gammon, who died after taking the drug in his Troy, Ill. home.
Police received a call about an unresponsive man Friday, and Gammon was found when officers arrived at 9:06 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say Brown had given Gammon the heroin about two hours earlier.
If convicted, Brown faces up to 30 years in prison.
She is currently held in the Madison county Jail on a $100,000 bond.
