(KSDK) - There are new charges against alleged kidnapper Michael Devlin and the task force investigating him is asking for your help.
Washington County prosecutor John Rupp on Tuesday released a seven count grand jury indictment. Devin is now charged with kidnapping, armed criminal action, child sexual abuse, and attempted murder.
"It alleges that on or between Oct. 7, 2002, through Nov. 7 2002, the defendant attempted to kill (a Washington County boy) by suffocation,” said Rupp.
Devlin was arrested in January after the Washington County boy –- who was 11 when he was kidnapped in 2002 –- and a 13-year-old Franklin County boy taken in January were found in his Kirkwood apartment.
Also on Tuesday, members of a task force investigating Devlin released photos from Devlin's past. (Early pictures of Michael Devlin)
They're trying to refresh some memories and find out if Devlin has any connection to other missing children cases.
Of six open cases, only two have been eliminated -- Bianca Piper and Angie Housman.
"The task force believes that Mr. Devlin is … gender specific in the people he is interested in,” said Sgt. Al Nothum, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Authorities are also trying track down a silver and gray 1983 Toyota pickup truck with a white stripe down the middle and a gray camper shell that they say Devlin used.
And they want to know if anybody knows about his travels to Michigan. Steven Kraft, 12, went missing from Benton Harbor in 2001.
"There are a lot of similarities to Devlin (and) these two previous young men that were taken," said Rupp.
Anyone who might have information is asked to call the task force at 636-239-7496 or 636 239-7614.
Devlin's attorneys were unhappy with the inflammatory nature of Tuesday’s news conference and said they plan to file a motion to move any trial from Washington County to another location.
