TROY, Mo. (AP) -- Two 15-year-old students are accused of conspiring in a bomb threat aimed at getting them out of school.
The boys attend Troy Buchanan High School. They were arrested Wednesday and the school remained open.
Authorities say one of the boys gave his teacher a note mentioning a bomb, saying he had found the note in the hallway.
In fact, the note was written by his friend who offered an MP3 player for the help.
The teen's story quickly unraveled when he was questioned.
Officials believe the students did not intend to harm the school, and no bomb or bomb-making materials were found.
