The Challenger Space Center in Ferguson, Missouri was opened in honor of the
astronauts who died in the 1986 Challenger shuttle mission. For the past year-and-a-
half, its been the place for kids and adults to go to learn about space science.
The Challenger Center is very excited about their newest “lauch”. Birthday Parties! The parties are two hours long and include plenty of time in the space station. Just like on a real space station amateur astronauts get to do experiments and have specific jobs, like communication specialist.
The parties also include time for cake and refreshments, like the same freeze-dried ice cream astronauts eat in space!
The Challenger Center hosts all kinds of people from schol groups to families to
corporations doing team building exercises. The new birthday parties are getting rave
reviews from kids who say, the experience is “out of this world”!
The Challenger Learning Center is located at 205 Brotherton Lane. For more information call 314-521-6205.
