St. Louis (KSDK) -- More than 30 bands will take the stage Labor Day weekend for the Big Muddy Blues Festival.

The Big Muddy Blues Festival will be September 1st and 2nd at Laclede's Landing.  The main stage will be located at 700 N. First Street.

Headliners this year include Joe Louis Walker, a Grammy winning songwriter, guitarist and Blues historian who collaborated with Ike Turner, Buddy Guy, Jimmi Hendrix and John Lee Hooker.  Blues/Zydeco master, Dr. John will also take the stage.  He was inducted last year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting in mid-May on the Big Muddy Blues Festival website.  Main stage limited VIP tickets will be $25 per day.  General admission lawn tickets will be sold for $10 per day.  The satellite stages are free to the public.
