It's Elton vs. Madonna, Round 2 (or is it 3 or 4?).
The two stars were feuding back around Golden Globes time when Elton scoffed that Madge didn't have a "chance" to win the best original song in a motion picture prize. And when she did, Elton's sweetie David Furnish bashed her, saying, "Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism."
And Elton shot some snark her way about her Super Bowl halftime show, saying, "Make sure you lip-sync good."
Now he's at it again. On Sunday night in an interview with Australian TV, Elton called Madonna a "nightmare." He explained, "Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger (expletive)."
Then he actually complimented her before bashing her again, "If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly," he added. "She looks like a (effing) fairground stripper."
