ABC sent out a media alert this morning announcing that the 10-year long running gag between Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon has moved to another level.
The release explains that since Jimmy Kimmel Live debuted on ABC in 2003, the talk show host has "made it a nightly tradition to 'bump' Matt Damon from his show, explaining that unfortunately he's run out of time for the A-list star."
Now, it seems, Damon isn't going to take it anymore. After accepting Kimmel's invitation to appear on his show tonight, the show begins airing at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, Damon showed up at the Kimmel show studio this morning and took Kimmel hostage.
In a YouTube video released with the ABC announcement, Damon is shown sitting near a tied up Kimmel.
Damon, in a spooky voice, says of Kimmel's invitation: "Tonight you didn't run out of time for me. Did you, Jimmy? No, I ran out of time for you. What's that, Jimmy? Is there, is there a new host in town? And his initials are MD. That's right, the doctor is in."
Damon then is seen wheeling the gagged and bound Kimmel, strapped to a chair, out of camera view.
Tune in tonight for the exciting conclusion.
