O'FALLON, Mo. (KSDK) - A group of fifth graders from Pheasant Point Elementary School in the Fort Zumwalt School District graduated from the D.A.R.E. program Friday night.

The students have worked all year to learn the dangers of drugs and violence.

NewsChannel 5's own Pat McGonigle spoke at the event and talked about the importance of staying in school, staying away from drugs, and to reach dreams.

The students also donated $1,700 floor the Ronald McDonald House by collecting 3,000 pounds of soda can tabs. This money provided 150 nights of family stays for free.
