Frederick, MD (WJLA/CNN) - Better late than never. A Maryland woman waited 70 years to find Mr. Right.
This weekend she will marry the man of her dreams.
Barbara Shultze will walk down the aisle Sunday for the first time. She's getting married to 75-year-old widowed Frenchman Jean-Francois Ramos.
They met on a dating web site for seniors.
Shultze said she had to kiss a lot of frogs to find the right one, but she knew she'd rather be alone then marry the wrong man.
Ramos proposed to his bride-to-be in front of her entire family.
"He got down on his knee and pulled the chair close just in case he couldn't get back up," said Shultze.
"And-I used it too," said Ramos. "She had been to many, many frogs, okay? A Frenchman is called a frog."
"Yeah, I do know that," said Shultze.
"So she's getting a frog," said Ramos.
Ramos was married for 45 years before his first wife died in 2003.
The couple will marry in front of more than a hundred friends and family, including Shultze's parents.
