WVTM - A dirt road in Lamar County, Alabama leads to a small church where they're having a religious service this week.

"It's a Christian gathering," says Reverand Dallas Brumbeck, the event's organizer.

But it's a Christian gathering like no other: only white people are welcome.

Beyond the Ku Klux Klan banners, just behind the white supremacy flags there were no blacks, Catholics, Jews or Muslims.

"You know some if Muslims or some other Catholic organization was doing that I'm sure that the mayor would not have gotten all up in arms about that," Brumbeck says.

The people at the conference said they feel it's their right to do as they please with their conference

However, when the flyers went up, mayors of the surrounding towns asked for them to come down.

People in the area said the group may have the right but it doesn't make it right.

"If it's America, a free county, I guess he can but that doesn't mean people have to like it," says Arzealer McGuire, who lives nearby.

Some said there are only select few in the area who may share the same feelings as the group.

"Nobody that I even know is even like this," says Scott Tucker.

Another person said nothing about the group seems Christian.

"I think all raced should be able to come to a church because God created everybody equal," added Dave Oliver.

Regardless of how other's may feel, Brumbeck said he will continue preaching to the ones who he said are God's chosen people, and for him that only includes white people.
