Auburn, MI (WNEM/CNN) - If you thought Nik Wallenda's recent walk across Niagara Falls was nerve-wracking, just wait until you see what his 76-year-old aunt can do!
Carla Wallenda has been performing daredevil acts for 73 of her 76 years. Her father is Karl Wallenda, who started the "Flying Wallendas."
This weekend, Carla is taking the family legacy to the Auburn Cornfest, showing off her acrobatic tricks from atop a 110-foot pole.
But don't ever suggest this "Flying Wallenda" is nearing retirement age.
"I'm only 76 really, at least another 24 years," said Carla.
She doesn't wear a safety harness while doing her stunts, and climbs all the way to the top of the pole, does flips and headstands, and can even stand straight up as the pole sways in the air.
