ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Less than a day after the Fireman's Retirement System (FRS) filed a suit to postpone the city's latest pension ordinance, a judge has issued an injunction against the City of St. Louis.

Judge Robert Dieker issued the third injunction regarding the FRS on Thursday.

The injunction prevents the City from implementing Board Bill 109 which supported a city-controlled retirement system for firefighters.

According to the FRS's attorney Dan Tobben, a trial will take place in March or April, and the outcome of the lawsuit may ultimately be decided by the Missouri Supreme Court.
