Curiosity Rover drills into Mars, finds soil is grey

(CNN) - We calls Mars the "Red Planet," but it might be time to re-think that name.

NASA's Curiosity Rover successfully drilled into Martian rock for the first time in history earlier this month.

But look at the sample it extracted in the video above. The powdery soil appears grey, not red.

Scientists will analyze the sample to see if there are signs of past life on Mars.
