CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC/CNN) - Stephen Colbert is rolling up his sleeves to help his sister in her bid for Congress in South Carolina.
The comedian formally endorsed Elizabeth Colbert-Busch on his show Wednesday. He joked that that he was ready to join the "poster committee" for her campaign.
Colbert-Busch, a Democrat, is running against former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford.
Colbert says his sister is "a business woman" and "a job creator." He is hosting a pair of fundraisers in Washington and New York to raise money for her.
