USA TODAY - Vladimir Putin may be getting along better with another president.
The Russian president sent a telegram this week to former U.S. counterpart George W. Bush, wishing him a speedy recovery from heart surgery.
Russia's government disclosed the telegram a day after President Obama -- who had also sent good wishes to Bush -- canceled a planned summit with Putin.
So Moscow being Moscow, and Washington being Washington, some political analysts believe the Putin-to-Bush telegram was designed to send a message to Obama, who has had a somewhat frosty relationship with Putin.
