NEW YORK (ITV/CNN) - New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner took some time out from his campaign to poke a little fun with a British reporter.
Reporter Lucy Watson asked the controversial candidate what would make him quit. In response, she got what she calls a snarky answer.
Watson: "Would anything stop you?"
Weiner: "I just have the feeling I've stepped into a Monty Python bit. I don't know would anything stop me? Is a rock going to fall on my head? Anything else I can do for ITV? You want me to do the weather or something?"
Watson: "If you can do the weather, you can do it for me."
Weiner: "Where's it from? This is in England?"
Watson: "You can do the weather here in New York if you'd like."
Weiner: "No, I'll do yours instead. It's going to be raining, cloudy and gray. So do what you can, guys. Try to keep your head up, try and keep a stiff upper lip."
In July, Weiner admitted he sent raunchy messages and photos to women online as early as last summer.
He left Congress in 2011 after admitting to similar acts.
Weiner vows to stay in the race, despite the scandal.
