WEST DENNIS, Mass. (CNN) - A Massachusetts man is facing a number of charges after he allegedly slammed his pick-up truck into a West Dennis convenience store.
The pick-up truck seemingly came out of nowhere, slamming through Tedeschi's on Route 28 in West Dennis on Sunday. A customer narrowly escaped injury by jumping over the counter.
The driver tried to back out, but instead found himself repeatedly ramming into a post. Eventually though, he was able to back out and speed away.
Police eventually tracked down the truck and its driver three miles away in Yarmouth. The truck, with a purple heart plate from Texas, is now impounded at Dennis Police Headquarters.
The truck has relatively minor damage, but Tedeschi's is closed.
The suspect is identified as 32-year-old Christopher Sprague. He is charged with vandalism, leaving the scene of an accident and negligence.
