SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WNYT) - It was no accident that former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, wound up mingling with gun enthusiasts in Saratoga Springs, New York this weekend.
The former astronaut and his wife say they believe New Yorkers are working to solve the gun violence problem, citing Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's agreement with every gun show owner mandating instant background checks when ever a firearm is bought or sold.
Giffords and Kelly, who formed Americans for Responsible Solutions this past January, would like to see the New York protocol serve as a model for the entire country.
