KSDK -- Seattle police are reviewing procedures used by one of their police officers caught on tape punching a woman in the face after jaywalking.
According to Seattle police, the officer witnessed an 18-year-old man jaywalk and approached him. Then the officer saw four women do the same thing. He told the women to step over to his vehicle and they started yelling at him.
It's clear by looking at the video the women were being combative. While the officer tried to cuff one woman, another stepped in trying to stop him.
The woman can be seen pushing the officer, who then responds by punching her in the face.
Backup arrived and the woman who was punched was handcuffed and checked out by medical personnel.
Seattle Deputy Chief Nick Metz told King 5 News there are some "concerns about the tactics the officer used."
