St. Louis (KSDK) -- A man known as the "soccer priest" has died.
Monsignor Louis Meyer died Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack.
Monsignor Meyer was known for helping build the Catholic Youth Council also known as the CYC. He was also a long time director of Camp Don Bosco near Hillsboro.
Monsignor Meyer was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in January.
But he wasn't just known for sports.
He was also instrumental in the growth of Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.
Monsignor Lou Meyer was 92 years old. Funeral arrangements are still being finalized.
