Tuesday evening a powerful storm system left its mark on nearly every area of Clinton County.

A trail of damage included downed trees, and utility poles left barely standing with downed power lines.
Norman Oulson of Keyesport heard some scary sounds just as he took cover outside as 70 to 80 mile an hour winds almost sent a huge tree directly on top of his mobile home.

"I seen that tree fall and it was twisting and it would go around but I heard a crack and there she went," said Oulson.

There was a close call in Trenton, Illinois where powerful gusts of wind blew over large trees just outside one home taking away gutters and shade.

"I heard a thud but it was raining and windy and a little bit later I noticed the two trees were down and I was kinda surprised," said storm victim, Judy Huelsmann.
