St. Louis (KSDK) - A spokesperson for the St. Louis City Health Department says that after a second cleaning of the north face of the Lucas Lofts apartments, 14 out of 14 samples tested negative for asbestos.

Asbestos fibers were detected after a steam pipe broke at 11th Street and Convention late last week.

On Monday, two samples from the Lucas Lofts and the Globe Democrat building came back positive for asbestos.

Sampling will continue in the morning on the south face of the Globe building.

Once those tests come back negative, 11th Street and Convention will reopen.
