St. Louis (KSDK) - An 8-year-old was arrested Thursday after bringing a loaded gun to school.
St. Louis police say they were called to Confluence Academy South City at Compton and Meramec around 8:30 a.m.
School officials has received information about the student and searched his bag. They found a loaded gun, and called police.
Confluence Academy South City is a charter school with four locations around the city, and not part of the St. Louis Public Schools system.
The boy has been turned over to juvenile authorities.
