St. Louis (KSDK) -- The Pi food trucks are shutting down because of the heat and will focus on its traditional restaurant operations in St. Louis and Washington, D.C.
Pi posted on its website that the company realized "there are too many factors in mobile operations that can compromise our guest experience and the comfort of our team members."
The food trucks last day will be July 31.
Pi has since opened a dine-in restaurant on Washington Avenue as part of the Mercantile Exchange. The company said its D.C. restaurant is also exceeding expectations.
The Pi food trucks have been in operation for two years.
