CHARLOTTE -- President Obama's campaign is previewing tonight's convention speech with a video entitled "Promises Kept."

"From cutting taxes for middle-class families to bringing about comprehensive health care reform to re-investing in education and infrastructure, President Obama has kept his promise to rebuild America for millions of families," said the Obama campaign in an e-mail including the video.

Building the video around clips from Obama's 2008 convention speech in Denver, the video also cites the end of the Iraq War and the 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Equal pay legislation and new energy development are also discussed.

Obama is scheduled to take the stage after 10 p.m. tonight in the Time Warner Cable Arena. The speech was moved from the nearby football stadium because of weather concerns.

"As this video shows, President Obama has kept the promises he made in 2008 to move our country forward," says the campaign.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney and aides are expected to stress the 8.3% unemployment rate and the rising federal debt of $16 trillion-plus in their response to tonight's speech.

"President Obama has presided over four straight trillion-dollar deficits," said Republican Party chairman Reince Priebus in a fundraising letter. "And how about the middle class? Under President Obama, median household income has declined by over $4,000."
