North Side Community School
St. Louis (KSDK) -- The North Side Community School recieved some help from a charity so the school could double its pre-kindergarten program.
Gateway Children's Charity raises money to help bridge the education and funding gap for kids in pre-kindergarten to the first grade level.
The charity provided funding so North Side could renovate an abandoned building on its campus and expand.
Ann Miller, the director of the North Side pre-K program, said many students who enter kindergarten are delayed or very delayed and being able to serve more children means that they will be ready for kindergarten.
