Two men killed in car that crashes into semi driven by St. Louis man

Sweet Spring, MO (KSDK) - Two men were killed Tuesday in a collision between the car they were riding in, and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 70 in Saline County.

Troopers from the Missouri Highway Patrol say 25 year old Andre Edwards and 26 year old Terron Davis, both of Columbia were passengers in the westbound car near Sweet Spring south of Marshall, Missouri when the driver lost control.

The driver; identified as 31 year old Randall Wells of Columbia, then overcorrected and crashed through the median cables into the eastbound lanes of I-70 where the car collided with an oncoming tractor trailer unit driven by 31 year old Roland Mask of St. Louis.

Neither Edwards or Davis were wearing seat belts and were thrown from the wreckage and pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Wells and a third passenger, 29 year old Brandon West of Columbia did have seat belts on, but both suffered serious injuries and were transported to University Hospital in Columbia.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
