Leawood, KS (KCTV/CNN) - Police in Kansas say a thief used a stolen car as a battering ram to smash the window of an Apple store.
It happened early Friday morning in the town of Leawood.
Police say the suspect backed the Dodge Intrepid into the front window of the store, smashing the window and bending the steel security gate.
Authorities aren't sure how many people were involved in the robbery, or what exactly they took. Officers arrived at the scene just two minutes after the alarm started going off, but the car was already gone.
This isn't the first time the Leawood store has been hit in this way.
Police say a similar smash-and-grab robbery two years ago is what prompted the store to install the security gates.
