Serious injuries involved in separate area collisions

Undated (KSDK) - A pair of crashed outside St. Louis Monday left two motorists with serious injuries.

The first incident was around 3:30 p.m. in St. Francois County along Highway 8 west of Hunt Road where Sam Watson. 84 of Park Hills drove off the pavement and slammed into a stone bluff, where his car then flipped over.

Watson was airlifted from the crash scene to a hospital in St. Louis.

Just after 6:00 p.m. Monday evening in Franklin County, Lacy Myers, 22 of Leslie was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital after she lost control of her eastbound car on Antioch Road west of Route CC and overturned.

Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol said Watson was wearing a seat belt when he wrecked his car, and Myers was not.
