President Obama has really been pushing women's issues lately, and now his campaign has a new ad out saying Republican Mitt Romney would ban abortion if he could.
The ad replays a moment during a Republican primary debate in which moderator Anderson Cooper asks GOP candidates, "if Roe v. Wade was overturned, Congress passed a federal ban on all abortions, and it came to your desk -- would you sign it? 'Yes', or 'no?'"
Responded Romney: "I'd be delighted to sign that bill."
The ad come amid signs in polls that Romney has improved his standing among female voters.
In a statement accompanying the ad, the Obama campaign says: "Romney may try to change his image just weeks before Election Day, but he can't change the fact that women can't trust him."
The new ad is airing in only one state: Virginia.
