Fire at Chesterfield apartment complex displaces residents

St. Louis (KSDK) - Fire swept through an apartment complex in Chesterfield this morning. 

It started around 6:30 a.m. at the Chesterfield Place apartments on Rialto Dr. and Olive Blvd.

Several people were evaluated for smoke inhalation, but no one was seriously injured in the fire.

Some of the residents that were evacuated are unable to return to their units and are looking for places to stay. 

More than 75 firefighters from the Monarch, Pattonville, Creve Coeur, West County, and Metro West Fire Departments battled the fire.

No word on a cause at this point.   A Disaster Action Team with the American Red Cross is assisting 16 people.
