Police pursuit through north St. Louis leaves one man dead, another on the run

St. Louis (KSDK) - An early morning police pursuit of one verified stolen car and a second that police believe was also stolen, ended with separate accidents involving both of the vehicles.

St. Louis County Police were in pursuit of the first car around 12:40 a.m. Mondpy when the driver lost control in the 3500 block of North Kingshighway near Lexington and flipped over.  The driver inside the stolen car then fled the scene and remains at large.

Just minutes later, a second car police think was stolen was in the 6100 block of West Florissant went the vehicle went out of control, sideswiping a tree and then crashing into the side of a building.

The driver in that vehicle was pronounced dead at an area hospital a short time later.  His name has not yet been released by authorities who continue to investigate both of the incidents which they say are related.
