Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis County police have a 21-year-old man in custody after finding him in possession of marijuana when an undercover officer arrived to deliver an Imo's pizza around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers were sent to the residence in the 1400 block of Attica last night due to the suspicious nature of the call, according to police spokesman Randy Vaughn.

Once at the home, officers approached the suspect who was sitting in a car in the driveway of the home.  They questioned the man and found him in possession of pot.  Officers asked for permission to search the vehicle and the suspect's home.  They found a firearm, heroin, and over $2,000 in cash.

Police did not specify if the suspect's home was the Attica address where they delivered the food or if it was elsewhere.

The suspect did not offer any resistance in the arrest and allowed officers to search his car and home.

The name of the man in custody has not been released by police in the ongoing investigation.

Police began working undercover in cooperation with the pizza restaurant in an attempt to curb a recent rash of pizza delivery driver robberies, including two over the past six months that have claimed the lives of two Imo's employees.
