Paterson, NJ (News 12/CNN) - Fifteen people were arrested in the take-down of a multi-million dollar heroin trafficking ring in the Northeast.
New Jersey and federal investigators announced the bust Tuesday.
"Last week, on November 13th and 14th, we arrested the alleged leader of this criminal network Segundo Garcia and 14 other alleged members of this network," said New York Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa.
Garcia faces life in prison.
Authorities have arrest warrants for two other men who remain on the loose.
Officials say the network was selling millions of dollars worth of heroin in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. They tracked the distribution to several drug mills and stash houses in New Jersey.
Agents seized three kilos of heroin and more than $200,000 in cash.
