North St. Louis (KSDK) - Two suspects wanted in connection to a rape and robbery on Wednesday night are in custody after leading police on a brief chase. Police apprehended the pair shortly after 10:30 pm Friday after they slammed into another vehicle at the intersection of Natural Bridge Ave and Goodfellow Blvd.

The two 21-year-old males were seen by police driving a stolen 2012 VW Passat at Union Blvd and St. Louis Ave. Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspects sped away, wrecked and then fled on foot. They were captured shortly thereafter.

Investigators believe the pair was involved in a home invasion and rape that happened at the 3000 block of Chippewa St on Thursday night. Victims stated the suspects forced entry into their home and forced them to the ground at gunpoint. The suspects then took a television, laptop, printer, cash and three cell phones. During the incident, an 18-year old female was raped.
