Pine Lawn, MO (KSDK) - A driver accused of driving over a pregnant woman and into a daycare center has been charged.
Edy Rene Ramirez Perez, also known as Edy Ramirez, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, carless and imprudent driving, and resisting arrest.
Police believe Ramirez was impaired at the time of the accident and found an open bottle of whiskey in his SUV.
"I am upset but, I don't hold any grudges. I hope he just gets himself together and wakes up and realize drinking and driving is not the thing to do and I pray for him as well as everyone else praying for my daughter and my grandchild," said Margaret Hill, Sharnay Hill's mother.

The charges have been filed with the Pine Lawn Municipal Court, and more charges could be filed.
Pine Lawn police say Ramirez was driving northbound on Jennings Station Road Wednesday and hit 22-year-old Sharnay Hill of Jennings waiting at a bus stop near Vetter Place. They say he continued to drive into the building of a daycare. Nobody was inside the building at the time of the accident.
Hill is three months pregnant. She has had two surgeries, and she and her baby are expected to survive.
Ramirez overstayed his visa and is in the United States illegally.
If convicted, Ramirez will be deported.
