Hazelwood, MO (KSDK) - Police officers from the Hazelwood Police Department responded to a house that had caught fire in the 2100 block of Lundy Sunday morning.

Three police officers arrived and found the homeowner; an elderly male in a bathroom located on the west side of the residence. The officers were able to pull the male subject through the bathroom window to safety. The man was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation and dizziness.

The flames began in the ceiling and the initial fire investigation reveals that this fire could possibly be related to electrical issues.  Officials do not believe the fire is suspicious.
