Alorton/Centreville, IL (KSDK) - Separate fires in two metro east homes late Wednesday has left both residences destroyed.
Firefighters in Centreville were called to a blaze in the 600 block of Tulane around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and found the home engulfed. The man living in the house was at work at the time and there were no injuries reported.
The home appeared to be a total loss, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
About twenty minutes later, and several blocks from the fire fire, firefighters were summoned to an address on McCasland in Alorton where a trailer home was fully involved in fire.
Authorities believe the building was vacant, and indicated it was destroyed in the fire. No cause for this fire has been cited at this time.
