St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis Police believe they know who they're looking for, now they just need to find him.

Investigators responded to a home in the 3600 block of Alberta Street just after 11:00 Thursday night and found an 18 year old who had been shot.

The victim was able to tell police before he was transported that he was entering his home when he saw his girlfriend inside with another couple he knew.

For no apparent reason, the man inside the victims home pulled a gun and shot the victim.  Police say the gunman then left the home and remains at large.

It's believed the victim knew the man and woman who were inside the house with the victim's girlfriend, however they have not established any motive for why the 24 year old gunman shot the victim.

The shooting victim is in critical condition at a St. Louis hospital.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact St. Louis Police or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.
