ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) - The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters tipoff Friday night at Scottrade Center.

The Globetrotters are an American institution dating back to the 1920s. Their brand of basketball wizardry and prop comedy has delighted millions across six continents.

Today in St. Louis anchor Pat McGonigle will suit up against the Globetrotters tonight. Pat will be riding the bench with the Globetrotters' opponent, Global Select. However, Pat is likely to see brief action in the second quarter of tonight's matchup.

"The initial agreement was to come off the bench and provide a spark," Pat said. "I'm hoping to drain a series of three pointers, to force our coach to keep me in the game. Which, ultimately, I firmly believe, will result in a Globetrotters loss," said Pat, tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Pat did have to complete a tryout with Globetrotter "Buckets" Blakes before earning a roster spot in tonight's matchup.
