CHICAGO (KSDK) - Clayco, Inc. CEO Robert Clark this morning announced that the company is moving its headquarters from St. Louis to downtown Chicago.
Clayco, Inc. finances, develops, designs, and builds large scale projects across the country and is looking to grow its global presence.
The company currently has about 1,000 employees, with 280 based out the Chicago office. Clayco expects to double the number in the Chicago office in the next couple of years.
While the headquarters are moving to Chicago, the company plans to keep its St. Louis office intact where key projects continue, having just signed a 15-year lease.
The accounting and IT departments will remain in St. Louis and no layoffs will occur as a part of the change.
In a statement, Clayco, Inc. says that they remain committed to the St. Louis community and will continue to be involved as a good corporate citizen.
