MULBERRY GROVE, Ill. (KSDK) - The Mulberry Grove school district went into lockdown for a short time Monday morning after a student found a .22 caliber bullet shell on the floor of a school bus.
The student gave the shell to the bus driver who then notified school authorities, prompting the lockdown.
School officials are trying to determine the origin of the shell, and have interviewed a couple of students about the incident.
No official determination about how the shell found its way onto the bus.
Once it was determined there was no danger to the students, the school was put back into normal operation.
