3 teens arrested after attempted robbery in Soulard

SOULARD, Mo. (KSDK) -- Three teenagers were arrested Friday night after they attempted to rob a woman, but crashed their car as they tried to make their get-a-way.

Around 11:20 p.m. on the 1000 block of Allen, officers spotted a 19-year-old boy dragging a 25-year-old woman by her purse.

The teen got in to a gray Pontiac with two other boys, ages 18 and 20, and fled. Officers chased them to Broadway and Chippewa where the teens crashed.

Although the suspects attempted to run away from the scene, all three teens were arrested. Police say the suspects were charged with second degree robbery, resisting, second degree assault, and leaving the scene of an accident.
