TROY, Mo. (KSDK) - A late night fire destroyed a home in Troy, Missouri Monday.

Lincoln County firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Old Cap Au Gras around 11:24 p.m. and found smoke coming from the eaves of the home.

A family of four was sleeping inside the home when the fire began. The mother and father got everyone out safely.

A dog was rescued from the home by firefighters.

Firefighters were in the basement of the home as the fire went through the bathroom floor and engulfed the living room and front door. Their hose line then ruptured and caused firefighters to lose water pressure.

No one was injured.

Firefighters from Old Monroe, Winfield-Foley, and Wentzville assisted in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
