ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The public gathered at the Old Courthouse in downtown St. Louis to commemorate the 27th annual Martin Luther King Day on Monday.
The event began with a civic ceremony at the Old Courthouse, followed by a march from the courthouse to Powell Symphony Hall for an interfaith service.
This year's event celebrates Dr. King's accomplishments as well as President Obama's second term inauguration.
Rev. Earl Nance Jr. and Mayor Francis slay were among those who attended today's event.
